The function Global Logistics Business IT covers development and governance of global business IT capabilities for Logistics, within Manufacturing & Logistics. Right now, we are on the exciting journey of globalization of our company, which will influence this function in a way of transforming operational support on global level, working with global oriented responsibilities across Volvo Cars logistics.
At Volvo Cars we are going through a digital transformation where business processes and IT are no longer separate entities that can be governed in isolation. Instead, IT is now a vital part in enabling virtually every business initiative we do and an accelerator for implementing our processes in the company. On this position, you will play an important role that this implementation in logistics is active at the time and extent needed.
Position, Supply Chain Process & IT Management, is part of the Global Logistics Business IT belonging to Operational Development & Global Business IT within Manufacturing & Logistics (M&L). You can expect cross-functional work, balancing between several departments and business units around the world, with a purpose finding the best solution, aligned with company 's strategy. You will act as senior project manager in specific projects and have an outstanding opportunity to implement your skills and even grow as a professional while taking on more complexed and extensive projects.
While leading cross-functional project you will act as a supportive function for overall logistics business IT development and daily operations. Your main responsibility will be translating current needs in the business, taking care they are delivered and implemented upon expectations. Your work will consists of planning, financial performance, analytics, regional alignment and implementing new processes in the business. While changing the operational processes and implementing new IT solutions, you will be in the position where you can make a great impact across all plants in Sweden and globally.

What you'll do
In this role you will act as enabler in initiating and developing new Logistics processes and IT tools within Logistics and cross Manufacturing & Logistics, to support operational excellence. You will drive innovation and digitalization initiatives to improve Business value and usability. Secure governance of change initiatives for cluster or applications including future direction. You will also work in project management in a complex and global environment.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a candidate with excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Moreover, you need to communicate effectively to technical as well as functional resources in order to transfer business demands into IT language and wise versa. To be successful in this role you have at least B.Sc. degree within Supply chain/ Logistics, IT or equivalent with relevant working experience. You have a background and solid experience in Process and IT integration projects. Profound knowledge in project management methodologies with demonstrated experience leading large business and IT projects is needed. You bring knowledge of data integration, business architecture and software development lifecycle. Broad knowledge and experience in Manufacturing & Logistic processes and IT landscape are beneficial. Experience with Industry 4.0 and Digitalization are meritorious. You also need to be fluent in English, spoken and written. You should have proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. As a person, you are performance driven with high integrity and professionalism and have a strong drive for development and improvements. You have great networking skills, enjoy working in collaboration with different partners within and outside the company. You are innovative with a change driven mentality and a high level of motivation and energy.
