Powerwave designs, manufactures and markets antennas, boosters, combiners, filters, repeaters, multi-carrier RF power amplifiers, tower-mounted amplifiers and advanced coverage solutions, all for use in cellular, PCS and 3G networks throughout the world.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform moderately complex tasks to apply, and maintain quality requirements for incoming materials. Implement methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of received products and/or materials to meet specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Sustain the production line or supply base through implementation of established procedures.
2. Work on NCMRs and other tasks related to the dispositioning of material.
3. Assist team members on yield and scrap improvement projects.
4. Support Customer Account Managers on customer quality issues.
5. Develop reports related to supplier quality and process control.
6. Perform root cause analysis.
7. Perform analytical measurements and experiments to qualify or resolve product and process issues.
8. Take corrective action on procedural, product, or process
deficiencies.
9. Analyze reports on rejected supplier material and implements supplier corrective actions as appropriate.
10. Perform supplier qualification, supplier quality system audits and supplier process audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or Quality Engineering (QE) Certificate
EXPERIENCE:
Has Bachelor Degree or QE certificate, 2 or more years of related experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge in Chineese language, for discussions with suppliers to our Chineese production unit.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems of a moderate complexity.
• Working knowledge of inspection methods in the design, fabrication, and production of electronic equipment.
• Working knowledge of SPC and other quality control techniques.
• Working knowledge of Supplier Quality Management and Supplier Quality Management systems.
• Working knowledge of ISO/TL 9000 requirements.
• Working knowledge of IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards.
• Working knowledge and application of problem solving techniques such as FMEA, cause and effect, and brainstorming.
• Familiarity with PCB and/or material manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of Quality Function Deployment.
• Knowledge of Demand Flow Technology (DFT).
• Demonstrated ability of innovative Quality techniques i.e. Six Sigma, DFM, DFR.
• Knowledge of Statistics and Six Sigma techniques.
• Knowledge and application of supplier selection processes. Performs supplier qualification, supplier quality systems audits and supplier process audits.
