We are looking to recruit an extra member of staff for the small, friendly team in our Stockholms shop at Söderhallarna.
Do you have retail experience, English as mother-tongue, and heaps of enthusiasm for English food, drink and books? If so, perhaps you are one of the people we are looking for!
The English Shop is a family run business with shops in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Both shops are busy and lively and have a loyal customer base that expects the best in customer service. We are now looking to recruit a number of staff in both locations.
You will need previous experience of working in a shop, should be flexible, mature and have a good knowledge of English food, drink and books. You should have English as a mother-tongue and be confident speaking Swedish.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
• Experience of working in a shop, preferably a food or book shop
• English as mother-tongue, confident Swedish
• Knowledge of English food and drink, and a general interest in food
• Enthusiasm for English literature - particularly teenage and childrens' fiction
• Sound organisational skills
Your role will include:
• Serving customers and helping with enquiries
• Working closely with Shop Manager to ensure shop is well-stocked
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy
• Dealing with deliveries, checking delivery notes and invoices
