The person in this position will be responsible for managing all commercial activities to major wind OEM accounts globally (except NA). In this role, the person is expected to interact with multiple functions and contact points at the customer end (including Purchasing, Technical, Sales, etc.) and be the principal coordinator of all account activities, both commercial, technical or other in nature.
The job also entails strengthening existing relationships and developing new ones, and promoting all of the products for the wind energy industry ? tower lifts, climb assist products and external access platforms for maintenance. Most Tier 1 wind OEMs have multiple departments and operate in multiple regions and therefore have many contact points, not always in synch with each other. The account manager needs to bridge the communication gaps that exist both inside of the OEM as well as between the OEM and the company?s operation.
Other responsibilities include establishing of account plans (strategy & execution), and good follow up on opportunities, ie. Developing a pipeline and following through.
Profile:
Looking for the following attributes:
• Solid business acumen
• Previous sales experience
• Understanding of how to manage large,
multinational accounts (previous experience either
working in or working with such companies a big
plus!)
• ?Hungry? and aggressive sales approach is key
• Proven track record of success selling or otherwise
working on projects with large companies
• Direct experience in the wind energy space a big
plus / needs to hit the ground running
• Team player / non-conflictive
• Strategic mind; any business or marketing
experience is welcome
• Ambitious
