The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with assigned Sourcing Leaders and product segments as the local owner for assigned suppliers in Biotech Chemicals purchase family. These responsibilities include the execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives within the purchase family and for assigned project within Supplier Risk Management, Business Continuity, and Supply Chain Mapping.
Key responsibilities include:
• Driving sourcing execution for assigned commodity(s) or suppliers, including full accountability for meeting deflation targets and improvement of cash flow.
• Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance, developing improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met and working with suppliers to improve accordingly.
• Partnering with local business stakeholders to ensure sourced material meet the needs of the business and serving as Sourcing representative in Product Care and NPI projects.
• Managing supplier data in ERP system, including name changes and setup of new items.
• Drive and execute sourcing strategic initiatives and projects related to Supplier Risk Management, Business Continuity and Supply Chain Mapping, Purchasing Controls Procedures and Regulatory Requirements.
• Collect data from suppliers by a survey tool, e-mail and telephone and analyze collected information, drive and execute activities to reduce risks in the supply chain, develop, improve and implement internal procedures, work in ERP systems and support and administrate implementation of a new database.
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.
5. Develop and maintaining of fully qualified and compliant supply base.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering technical discipline or business administration, or 3 years work experience in the assigned commodity.
2. First years of Commercial Sourcing or Supply Cain experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships.
2. Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments.
3. Analytical skills and experience from Excel.
4. Experience from working in ERP system
