Job Summary

Technical Consultancy Sourcing is recruiting a talented and experienced professional to the Sourcing Business Partner team within the R&D Consultancy area to lead R&D outsourcing efforts and stakeholder interaction globally in complex and/or strategically important areas.

The Sourcing Business Partner (SBP) has the responsibility to ensure effective sourcing of R&D Consultancy and services, in alignment with Group Sourcing strategies, the R&D Consultancy Category strategy and corporate policies and directives. The work includes both strategic handling of the existing supplier base, consisting of world leading international companies, and to support the selective introduction of suppliers to expand Ericsson business. The SBP will be part of a diverse team of highly qualified sourcing professionals and belong to the global Technical Consultancy Sourcing organization. The work includes cross-functional team coordination in close cooperation with stakeholders. If you are a results driven professional, this position offers you a unique and challenging opportunity.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Deliver a best in class Sourcing service both operationally and strategically to the Product Development organization.
Proactively analyze the global supplier ecosystem and understand suppliers' capabilities within Technical Consultancy.
Work closely with the Product Areas and R&D to stay updated on the business and product roadmap, plans, changes and requirements as they arise.
Provide the R&D Organization with business intelligence and benchmarking/research w.r.t.
suppliers capability in relation to existing and new outsourcing needs, as identified in Internal Product Plans, Business Plans, etc.

Establish and maintain cooperation within the R&D organization through early engagement in the make/buy process and joint strategy development. Maintain a solid understanding of the stakeholders' current situation with respect to external R&D operations. Drive the Supplier Strategy as part of the R&D Site & Supplier Strategies. Ensure that stakeholder needs are recognized and addressed in the R&D Consultancy Category strategy and the PSL (Preferred Supplier List).
Create and manage the funnel of outsourcing activities. Provide the Sourcing organization with the R&D organization's forward looking requirements in order to increase readiness and decrease procurement lead time. Move towards a proactive engagement model.
Perform scenario analysis and secure most efficient usage of external partners linked to adjustments needed to meet budget frames. Engage with product line and R&D teams at all levels with regards to requirement or assignment specifications and to provide guidance regarding categories & prices for new and existing assignments.
Assure availability to all stakeholders to drive escalations in liaison with associated SRMs (Supplier Relationship Managers).
Drive selected procurements/outsourcings. Evaluate and select suppliers in close collaboration with stakeholders. Negotiate and conclude agreements with suppliers in liaison with associated SSMs and SRMs.
Govern supplier relationships and develop supplier value jointly with SRMs e.g. proactively identify and implement business models to increase value generation from suppliers.
Understand Ericsson Sourcing Strategy. Work closely with the global Group Sourcing team to develop and mold sourcing strategies, drive business synergies, share best practices.

Position Qualifications

Excellent understanding of the development and operational business environment
Ability to understand strategic thinking, translate into tactical deliverables and drive detailed execution
Understanding of the Ericsson business environment
Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
Ability to influence, manage and interface with all levels of management across multiple domains and geographical and organizations boundaries (team player) ; leadership through cross-functional networks
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level.
Excellent English language skills.
5-10 years of experience relevant experience is preferred
