Your Role
Join our dynamic, innovative team at the forefront of Saab's Business Unit Airborne Early Warning (BU AEW), where you will be an important part in shaping the future of our world-leading GlobalEye airborne surveillance system. As the Software Manager for the Signal Data Function (SDF) Application, you'll have the unique opportunity to manage and develop a team of highly skilled embedded software engineers.
The SDF Application is the core software for the AEW Radar, and as the Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of all software components. You will also be responsible for leading your team towards strategic goals, ensuring they have the tools and processes to support their work effectively.
As a technical manager, you will collaborate closely with experienced professionals to foster a creative and collaborative environment that encourages innovation and team spirit. You will also work closely with the colleagues at ERIEYE & Sensors department as well as other software units to promote software excellence and contribute to the overall development of SAAB's capabilities.

Your profile
In order to excel in this role, you must possess a passion for software craftmanship, with extensive experience in embedded systems. You combine strong leadership skills with a keen interest in technical areas and an ability to drive change and progress within your team. Your excellent communication skills and focus on relationship-building, knowledge-sharing, and empowerment will be essential in this position.

Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in technical discipline (e.g. M.Sc in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering)

Experience, understanding and ability to work in an international environment
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
