Avidity is a small software house born in Stockholm in 2012 that develops systems primarily for the Internet. Currently we do a lot of work with C# and JavaScript, but also frameworks based on Ruby or Python, such as Rails, Sinatra or Flask. We're hackers at heart, we care about the code we write and the impact it will have on the people using it. We're a multicultural company with offices in Sweden and Brazil.
Position description:
Your main concern will be to develop software together with our clients' dev teams. As a developer at Avidity, you'll be working with a team of talented developers with varied technical backgrounds. You'll help out in delivering the high quality, well thought out software our clients are used to. Currently the team is made of 10 devs - eight in the Brazilian office and two we are hiring in Stockholm, along with our Tech Lead and Head of operations.
Together with your peers, you'll be responsible for understanding the underlying problem we're solving, technical design, implementation and code quality. We have a few faithful clients that we collaborate tightly with. Our focus for the near future is to continue this collaboration and to bring in a few new projects.
What you'll do:
Developing software on behalf of our customers
Liaising with the client's dev team
Turning complex problems and non-technical requirements into technical solutions
Planning and implement those solutions
About you:
Have knowledge in finding the most appropriate technical solution to the challenges at hand
Have a solid understanding of either C#/.NET, JavaScript or Java (experience in C++, Ruby or Python is also valued)
Have a solid understanding of how web applications are built and the systems that underpins them
Are familiar with git, automated tests, continuous delivery, pair programming, design and code reviews
Are passionate about programming
Strive to deliver your work to the highest possible standard
Have great communication skills to colleagues (respectful, open-minded) and clients (educational, guiding)
