We believe you have a master's in computer science and/or software technology or similar and have some years of relevant industry work experience, including embedded systems programming. It's important that you are a patient, persistent, driven and innovative team player with the ability to see challenges instead of problems. You need excellent C-programming abilities and should be skilled in algorithm development for video analytics. You should also have knowledge of implications of limited resources in embedded systems on algorithm development and have very good English and Swedish skills.
Skills in software modularization, module interface design and hardware abstraction techniques are desired. Knowledge of algorithm development for analytic applications outside the video domain, e.g. audio, is a merit.
THE CORE TECHNOLOGIES TEAM
The Core Technologies team is responsible for the long-term technology agenda within the strategic areas Vision, Imaging and System. We perform technology roadmapping; execute the roadmap by developing technologies and assist toward platform integration of technologies. We also act as a competence centre within Axis with regard to the core competence areas. In addition to this we define test methods and standards to be used by Axis as a whole.

As software engineer in video analytics for the world leader in network video, you'll be right there on the cutting edge of technology. Your main tasks will involve:
• Video analytics algorithm development
• Embedded systems programming
• Software design
• Software maintenance
