Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm (IEGS) is an international school located on Södermalm with a strong academic and multicultural tradition, committed to helping students develop to the fullest of their potential. IEGS is just two minutes walk from Skanstull T-bana.
We currently offer five Swedish national programmes and the IB Diploma Programme, which all qualify you for university studies in Sweden or abroad. All courses, with the exception of Swedish, Civics A, Law and Modern Languages, are taught in English. IEGS is looking for an excellent school counselor to bring to our Student Care Team of nurse, SEN and guidance counselor.
Applicants must have the correct education for this position. Being able to speak English is a clear advantage, but most of your work will be in Swedish. Experience working in a school is an advantage, but we are equally happy to receive applications from outside the school world.
We have built a strong team of educators who work hard to provide our students with the best possible education and care. Being a positive and cooperative team player is a must. In addition to the normal school counselor duties and responsibilities, we aim to recruit someone who believes in working proactively and on a whole-school level.
