hela Sverige We are now looking for a structured senior database administrator that have ability to take leadership, for our clients product development team. Our client is one of the worlds leading developer in online casino games.
Role Overview
As a senior database administrator you will first and foremost manage databases that handles vast amount of data/transitions on an architectural level within the clients database administration.
You will be driving operational requirements towards development like verifying releases; test and evaluate new hardware and virtualization of the database level; database optimation, architecture and design; deliver updates and information regarding MySQL operability to NOC.
You will also be handling incoming incidents; charge requests; documentation; perform installations; handle backup and restore setup of MySQL; monitoring performance/trends and educate first line support. You must have the ability to take leadership and responsibility, make though decisions and be firm when your decisions are challenged.
Required skills and experience:
• 3 years experience as DBA in large scale environments
• Higher technical school or same equivalent education or experience
• System knowledge in HW and deep understanding of MySQL operations
• Excellent knowledge in at least one of the following languages: Bash, python, perl, php, Java
• Knowledge and usage of good practice mythologies and tools for database administration
• Deep domain knowledge to guarantee service operations standards, customer requests and security measurements.
• ITIL knowledge
• Strong language skills excellent spoken and written English is a must, and preferably Swedish as well
