Business Region Europe (BRE) at Volvo Buses has the responsibility for current bus business and further commercial development in the whole of Europe. This region represents a number of key established markets along with a growth opportunity for Volvo Buses.
To strengthen the Cluster North Commercial Service Market function within Business Region Europe we are now recruiting a:
Service Contract Manager
Cluster North within Business Region Europe is responsible for the sales of vehicles, spare parts and services in the Nordic markets of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. We provide aftersales services and customer support through a network of more than 200 private and company-owned retail outlets.
The position reports to the Commercial Service Market Manager Cluster North and will be responsible for the commercial development of the service contract business predominantly within market Sweden, and also take a coordinating role for service contracts within Cluster North. This role works in close cooperation with the sales organisation and the dealer network to secure a growth in the service contract portfolio and a healthy contract business.
Main activities and responsibilities:
• Take ownership of the service contract portfolio in market Sweden through
• Continuous analysis of active service contracts and the overall portfolio performance
• Initiate corrective and proactive measures in collaboration with technical support
• Together with claim handlers take an active part in securing that workshop processes and information work effectively and provide the base for profitable service contracts
• Coordinate and drive portfolio updates and contract changes
• Continuous maintenance of contract data
• Proactively interact with Volvo Trucks service contract department to secure a similar way of working towards dealers where possible and a One Volvo approach
• Be the owner of bus data in service contract calculation tools
• Support dealers in sales and quotation of bus service contracts as required. This may include providing any relevant training.
• Be the commercial support to the sales organization at the time of total offer quotation
• Some financial reporting relating to the contract portfolio may be part of the role
• Be the coordinator of the service contract product within cluster North, by
• Securing a similar way of working and sharing of best practice
• Coordinate and drive common improvements towards interfacing stakeholders
• Be the Nordic system owner of service contract calculation tools
• Be the gatekeeper of service contract approvals as required according to relevant authorization rules
Profile
We think that you have operational experience from the automotive service contract business. You also have a general understanding of the success factors of the Nordic fleet operator.
You take tasks on in a structured way and can easily analyse data to form the basis for concrete improvement activities. You want to create value for Volvo, dealers and customers and see the benefit in collaborating with multiple partners to achieve business goals.
You have a positive attitude, a personal drive and also work well with others.
Key requirements:
• Commercial mindset and understanding of the Bus or Truck customer needs
• Passionate about developing the business and finding new and better ways of doing things, adding value for our customers and eliminating waste
• A highly customer focused attitude
• Self-motivated, able to manage time and prioritize work load
• Team-player with networking skills
• A strong analytical ability
• Good presentation and communication skills
• At least 5 years' commercial experience from services with focus on service contracts. Retail business experience is a benefit
• Experienced in the service market are
• A basic technical understanding will help in this role
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs, Excel in particular
• Proficient in the English language but must also be able to communicate in Swedish
• University degree in engineering and/or business or logistics or comparable experience
