Wanted: An innovator with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Senior Venture lead to Scania Ventures.

Are you a natural entrepreneur with experience in in-business building and innovation? Would you like to make a key contribution to the shift towards a sustainable transport system? Join us!

Scania Ventures, Scania's corporate venture-building function, seeks a Senior Venture Lead to guide and scale our start-ups, with a strong sustainability, mobility, and logistics focus.

About Scania Ventures

The transport industry is undergoing a paradigm shift. New technologies are revolutionizing the relationship Scania has with our customers, as well as our role in the transport value chain.

In response, Scania set up its Ventures & New Business unit in 2021 to expand the company's role in the transport ecosystem through the identification of new revenue streams.

The mission of Ventures & New Business includes managing a portfolio of different tech companies, investing in high-growth companies via our Scania Growth Capital Fund, acquiring start-ups, and even building our own in-house start-ups through our new corporate venture function Scania Ventures.

The Senior Venture Lead role

Reporting to the Head of Venture Portfolio, you will most often lead one of our various ventures, taking the CEO role to define and guide the particular new business idea's trajectory, while also having access to expertise and supporting functions such as legal, HR and finance. At other times, you might serve as a Business Advisor, with the possibility to support in the assessment of which venture(s) in our portfolio should be accelerated next.

This is a role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on business realization, where you'll be working with us to shape the future of entrepreneurship and venture building for Scania. You will oversee complex initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring business excellence and future growth.

Your key tasks may vary over time but will include:

• Creating and leading high-performing teams to develop new ventures, generating new revenue streams for Scania in strategic areas
• Defining the vision, developing a strategy, and creating a business plan for the venture
• Securing efficient business and product development
• Reporting to the venture board and running advisory group meetings for input
• Monitoring the wider industry environment and related trends so you can adapt the venture's strategy and optimize its position
• Communicating - Being the venture's voice within Scania and the external competitive landscape

Are you our ideal candidate?

We are looking for a determined, curious, and team-oriented individual who thrives on building lasting relationships and embraces new challenges.

You should be comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment and remain composed under pressure. Strategic thinking, coupled with a willingness to provide hands-on support where necessary, is key.

Our requirements

• With a natural flair for communication, you create effective teams with a collaborative culture that gets results
• You should be a tireless leader and inspiration to your team, influencing people by your mere presence
• You have +8 years of work experience, probably most of the time spent building start-ups. You are skilled in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities
• You have experience in sales, financial modeling, and converting market trends into business designs
• Preferably, you have experience in transport and logistics, are adept with technology, and have been working with innovative and sustainable business models
• You have a proactive and problem-solving mentality combined with high strategic capabilities
• You have a Master's Degree or equivalent, probably in Engineering, Economics, or Innovation, and have a fluent command of spoken and written English

For Scania and Scania Ventures, diversity and inclusion is a strategic necessity. We seek to recruit employees of all genders and backgrounds with the widest possible range of skills, knowledge, and experiences.

Scania Ventures offers you the flexibility to work remotely, either from the Stockholm or Södertälje areas.
