Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

The team, which currently consists of around 25 people, including a group manager, scrum-master, support and maintenance managers, system and software developers, test and system analysts, that supports Scania's service contracts management operations Globally. The team is involved in the entire system development process, from concept development to implementation and maintenance. We are aiming for self-organizing teams with focus on quality assurance.

Our aim is to modernize current monolith Contract System developing microservices and moving to Cloud. We have an agile way of working and support applications built in .NET.

Do you have a passion for software development and for agile culture and ways of working? Then maybe this could be the right challenge for you. We are now looking for a skilled Senior .NET developer to further strengthen our development teams within the Service Delivery IT department.

Your Responsibility:

In this role, you will need to have a good understanding of the IT system development lifecycle and be used to work in an agile way. As a member of the development team you will mainly work with developing our own product/system. You will help solve a variety of technical challenges and enable the transfer from our existing system to the Cloud by developing microservices.

You will also need to have the skills and interest to help develop automated tests and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. You'll work closely with testers and product managers to understand what is necessary to ensure that the system work correctly.

Your Profile:

We think that you are a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a degree in IT or equivalent experience, complemented with a 5+ years' experience of developing new products and designs in .NET and with a significant interest in IT.

We'd like to see that all our applicants have:

• Experience of developing and enabling new products and designs.
• Good knowledge of .NET Core and Microsoft-like products (e.g. C#, SQL server, MVC, TFS, WCF, Entity framework)
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and Angular
• Application development experience using MicroServices on Container/Cloud technologies such AWS.
• The interest to help build automated testing against server-less applications running on AWS.
• Experience with Agile or iterative/incremental software development methods such as Kanban or Scrum.
• The commitment and motivation to work with others to deliver, simplify and improve, but also to share knowledge and learn from each other.
• An interest in building reusable and modular IT solutions

We expect applicants to be curious, have excellent problem-solving skills and to have a genuine interest in developing in the role as system developer. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are a team player, but are also capable of working independently. As the corporate language is English, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
