ADB SAFEGATE is currently seeking a Senior Software Architect to our office in Malmö, Sweden.
In this role you will be working with the system software development in the areas of Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS) and Individual Light Control and Monitoring System (ILCMS). Since this is our future main focus we are now strengthening our software team with a Senior Software Architect.
We are a small specialized software team located in Malmö that work closely with our colleagues in other offices as well as with the hardware team.
This role will give you the possibility to be part of an ambitious and skilled software team, specialized in system architecture and work in an international environment.

Position responsibilities:
We are in the process of developing common software platforms for our A-VDGS and ILCMS real time systems as well as for our supporting tools. To give us a modern, maintainable software architecture. Our supporting tools is used at customer sites for commissioning, service and maintenance.
In this work we are looking for you as our senior software architect. Your main responsibilities as a system software architect include:
• Lead thorough technical design reviews, guidance and decisions
• During the design phase, subdivide a complex application into smaller, more manageable pieces including o grasping the functions of each component within the application o understanding the interactions and dependencies among components
o communicating these concepts to developers
• Recognize potential reuse in the organization or in the application by
o observing and understanding the broader system environment
o creating the component design o having knowledge of other applications in the organization
• Requirement analysis - to understand the needs of our customers and translate those needs into specific architectural approaches to provide unique, value added features.
Competencies:
You are pragmatic and solve your tasks with an understanding of the impact it has on the surrounding architecture, functionality and time schedule. It is important that you enjoy working both independently and in teams.
Experience and background:
• Requires at least a Bachelor degree or equivalent, in a related Engineering discipline or Computer Science
• 5+ years of relevant system architecture experience
• Driving manner to be able to lead the work with the SW set up, the architecture and design from an early and immature state to a finalized product
• Thorough experience in embedded and "real-time" systems
• Significant experience with C++, C# and or C
• Experience in Agile and Scrum development practices
• Demonstrated capability to manage the development of requirements and the appropriate allocation of those requirements across subsystems
• Fluently speaking and writing in English and Swedish
