SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE
Borås, Sweden
The purpose and objectives of the job will be to develop our forwarding (international air and ocean) & logistics services by securing new profitable and sustainable customers for the Branch and the European Region. Focused on development of core products the Senior Sales Executive works alongside and in collaboration with the local management team for the benefit & growth of the branch.
C.H. Robinson's European branches are in The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and The United Kingdom
Your accountabilities will include:
• Source, plan and conduct face to face calls with prospective customers.
• Achieve 35 to 40 face to face meetings per month with prospects (and existing clients)
• Target & secure small, medium and large size prospects
• Maintain & develop own pipeline in the CRM system (Opportunity Management)
• Make recommendations to management relating to forecasting/budgeting and pipeline strategy.
• Remain engaged with customers to maintain relationship and ensure ongoing success of accounts.
• Follow up and respond to sales leads and routing orders generated by overseas partners.
• Attend training sessions created to enhance relevant knowledge and skills.
• Carry out any reasonable duties as deemed the responsibility of the job holder by the Branch Manager.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years freight/logistics air and ocean sales experience
• A background within Operations (air and ocean) is highly desirable
• Fluent Swedish & English communication in both written and spoken, additional European languages are advantageous
• Self-driven, results - orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profitability.
• Highly credible, mature individual with strong written communication skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
• Excellent face to face and telephone communicator.
• Able to develop long-term relationships with key decision makers and overseas partners.
• Competent in use of Windows Office packages.
