We are looking for an innovative and highly motivated scientist to join our Biomarker Science Team within the Translational Science Department in the Respiratory, Inflammation and Autoimmune Innovative Medicine Unit. You will be part of a creative and flexible team that investigates novel immunomodulatory therapies for respiratory and autoimmune diseases.
Translational Sciences drives target identification, patient segmentation and biomarker development based on understanding of human diseases and access to human patient derived cells and tissue samples. Critical is the development of a biomarker strategy which supports all our projects with a set of appropriate biomarkers to provide an integrated set of data around the compound and target throughout all phases in discovery and development.
The role
Join us and you will play a key role to design, develop and conduct experiments to support translational science aspects of projects in an environment where the latest science takes place. You will be encouraged to create and implement biomarker strategies including identification of biomarkers which will allow for patient segmentation.
We are interested in strong scientists with a background in respiratroy disease and /or immunology. This role combines scientific lab-based work with opportunities to propose experimental strategies and demonstrate scientific leadership. In this way you will help build one of the most innovative and exciting Respiratory, Inflammation and Autoimmunity portfolios.
Minimum experience
Suitable candidates should have a Ph.D or MD in a relevant scientific discipline with experience in respiratory diseases and/or immunology
Preferred experience/requirements.
A proven track record in research in respiratory diseases and/or immunology as shown by publications in high quality journals
Strong practical expertise in a range of molecular and cell biology techniques such as cell culture, characterization by flow cytometry, analysis by biochemical, genomic or epigenomic methods
Experience in assay development, pharmacology, enzyme kinetics and biomarker analysis using a variety of platforms
You will have excellent team playing and communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment, providing leadership and insight in the discipline.
