hela Sverige The Research & Development Engineer, Operations Technology Development (OTD) will be responsible for driving and securing technology development projects in the frame of Industry 4.0 for Group Trucks Operations and provide expertise to the global organization.
You will be part of the Research & Technology Development team and report to the Director Research & Technology Development.
Mission and purpose of the Job
• Ensure delivery of technology development projects within in the responsibility area and foster knowledge transfer through internal and external networks.
• Ensure awareness of major technology trends and shifts and create understanding of how it will impact Operations. With that understanding also play an active role in the interface towards public funding authorities, universities and institutes.
Key responsibilities
• Drive Technology Development projects within an Industry 4.0 context with a special focus on the virtual twin, together with internal and external partners in accordance to OTD program prioritizations
• Ensure delivery or key technologies according to budget, TRL and budget decided by the OTD steering committee
• Work together with the Technology Project Planning Manager to set and confirm budget and resource needs
• Build and maintain relevant internal and external networks to transfer knowledge and results from Technology Development projects or other initiatives
• Actively seek for new trends, best practices and opportunities globally as input to long term plans and roadmaps
• Be responsible for and drive the Technology Development Lab to ensure it purpose and is meeting requirements from the organization
• Ability to represent the Director Research & Technology Development in internal and external forums upon request
• As a member of the Research & Technology Development team drive defined improvement projects
