The Exhaust After-Treatment System (EATS) group within Powertrain Strategic Development (PSD) is looking for a senior research engineer.
THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
At PSD we perform early development of Powertrain System concepts. We also explore new technologies and build strategic knowledge with research centers, universities, suppliers and other Volvo organizations globally. We constantly follow the latest technology trends within the automotive industry and share the findings within the organization.
The EATS group consists of a team of dedicated experts that are responsible for leading the technology development towards lower emissions and higher efficiency. We work with development of small and full scale technologies and concepts using experimental testing and simulations.
THIS IS THE ROLE
As a senior research engineer you will develop and explore novel future technologies and prototypes using experimental testing. You will also analyze the experimental data and draw conclusions and recommendation in close collaboration with simulation experts and control engineers.
Another part of the role is to work on continuous improvements on experimental methods and tools and to interact with your colleagues in networks across our global organization.
THIS IS YOU

You are exploratory and innovative with the ability to drive things to completion, which means that being proactive and willing to take ownership is something you enjoy. Qualifications:
Master degree in Engineering
Working experience in experimental testing (hardware and software)
Good understanding of powertrain technology area and the applications in automotive industry
Fluent in English, written and spoken
