Zurich Risk Engineering
Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life commercial insurance for local and international business in the Nordic market. We support both the medium sized companies as well as global corporations around the world in the understanding of risk and the protection of their assets and revenue streams. We are now looking for people having a driven, positive and engaging attitude to join our Nordic organization as a Senior Risk Engineer within Property. You will formally belong to our Stockholm office, but the position can be placed remotely elsewhere in Sweden.
Zurich Risk Engineering is the strategic partner of our industry clients focusing on the identification, evaluation, quantification and reduction of overall risks and their possible impact. We have 800 risk professionals with industry expertise operating in over 40 countries working with first-class methods and tools covering a broad variety of disciplines.
As a Senior Risk Engineer, you will:
• Identify, assess, and improve the risks of our customers - large and mid-size Nordic and international companies in the Nordic region.
• You will have technical customer responsibility and work in close co-operation with our Underwriters, Claims Handlers, Relationship Leaders and Customers.
• You will have account engineering responsibility.
• You will do risk assessments in the field.
• You will do desktop assessments for prospect accounts.
Besides traditional property engineering you will have the opportunity to:
• Develop yourself within Construction Engineering performing desktop assessments and assessments in the field.
• Join one of our Global Technical Committees.
Qualifications:
• Solid experience from working as a property risk engineer at a broker or an insurance carrier
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Fluent Swedish.
• Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or risk management
Skills and competencies:
• Problem solving, decision making and judgment skills
• Strong relationship builder
• Good presentation skills
As a person, you show initiative and have strong commitment to customer service. You are an analytical thinker and like to solve problems systematically. You like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues globally.
