hela Sverige In this high-profile position you will hold the overall responsibility for the management of the assigned large multimillion dollar project, including commercial and technical responsibility.
Working together with other partners in a consortium, you will represent ABB internally while externally representing the consortium. The project will require a high degree of Risk Management. In other words, a natural ability to take the initiative and apply both creativity and perseverance are necessary to negotiate and implement the necessary actions.
Leading an onsite team in South Korea and with the support of a dedicated engineering team back in Västerås, you will need to apply all your project management skills to maintain and build customer trust, secure efficient and transparent collaboration with our partners and personally drive a culture of safe working conditions at site.
As Senior Project Manager you have more than 8 years' documented experience of managing system delivery projects and you hold a Master or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. An ABB Project Management Certification or a PMP certification are also important qualifications.
Your experience has provided you with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This means that you are a sharp negotiator, with an excellent ability to resolve issues, lead teams and work constructively with customer relations. You get your messages across in a coherent and clear way and lead your projects with great confidence - and you have the character to stand straight in good times and bad times alike. As Project Manager you also need to be highly experienced in Risk Management. This, among other things, means that you are able to stay calm even if unforeseen events threaten to disrupt your project. Your achievements are of course built upon a solid sense for business and commercial issues. You recognise and respect cultural differences while skilled at communicating at different levels of hierarchy within large organisations.
In order to succeed in this leadership role you will need to relocate to South Korea for a period of 12-18 months.
You will be a part of ABB Power Grids - Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS). FACTS technology enables power systems owners to increase the capacity of their existing power systems while improving electrical stability at the same time. The end result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environment impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the FACTS unit in Västerås and sold to customers worldwide.
