We are looking for two Senior Network Engineers to strengthen our team within the Voice area of Service Assurance & Operations for Telia Carrier. Voice Network is part of Common Technology within Service Assurance and Operations Group.

Job description
You will be part of the Voice Network team that provides 3 rd level support towards our customers and the interfaces and stakeholders we co-operate with. Part of the job is to performing test and validation of Telia Carrier's voice network and the products/services that belongs to it.
The team consists of highly skilled Engineers and we use an escalation process with an escalation list making us available 24/7/365 so an on-call Rota is employed.
As part of being the edge competence within the Voice area, training and educating others is also part of our responsibilities. We work in a constantly changing environment with new technologies and challenges. Testing new functions (HW/SW), features and platforms before roll-out or implementation into the live systems is a key role in our daily work. We do have an important role being the bridge between Development and Operations using a DevOps mindset in our involvement.
This also includes dialogues with different vendors and stakeholders.

Since new features and functions constantly arrive, you will attend both external and internal training courses as well as participate during evaluation processes for i.e. new services, features or technologies/platforms.
You will work with dedicated and experienced colleagues and have a wide responsibility that spans over many different environments and services. The team also takes part in the design phase were we contribute with our experience and expertise.

Who you are

You have very good analytical skills. You have a positive attitude and dare to take on challenges. You understand the need to focus on the customers and care to meet their demands and expectations. As educating others and attending development projects will be part of your daily job, abilities like being agile and striving to simplify solutions, will be vital for being successful. You have some industrial experience in relevant field and a strong willingness to learn and the ability to do so quickly.
Qualifications

You have a University degree in relevant technical area. You have very good understanding of Voice and VoIP environments and preferably documented experience in testing and support. You have expert skills in relevant protocols and codec's related to i.e. SIP/SIP-I, SIGTRAN, RTP and preferably DIAMETER. You have a good understanding of IP (TCP/IP), i.e. routing and switching (Cisco/Juniper) You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
Meritorious and preferred is experience with:

GENBAND Soft-switch portfolio (Titan/NetNumber, Q20/21 and Q50 etc.). CCNA/CCNP certificate. UNIX/LINUX knowledge. Documented experience in similar positions.
