The group CE Electrical & Electronic within the section Cost Estimating includes six team members and has the responsibility to deliver Cost Estimates in the different stages of the Sourcing process to all Programs, as Target Evaluation, Sourcing agreement, Target agreement as well as the Change-/Integration phase. We also support to cost reduction activities in running production and also Raw material compensation tasks.
As Senior Manager Cost Estimating, Electrical & Electronic your will be responsible to lead the team, prioritise recourses and be a part of the CE Management Team. It is within your role to ensure that Volvo Car Group always gets value for money when purchasing parts, by delivering cost estimates and arguments as a base for a fact based negotiation where CE are expected to be a support in.
Main responsibilities
• Lead the team
• Secure efficient working methods, tools and value for money
• Lead operational development for the function
• Supporting the team in important negotiations with suppliers
Required qualifications
• Technical university degree or equal relevant working experience
• At least 5-10 years of working experience within the area
• Documented leadership skills
• Experience in cost calculations
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Experience from Electronic production or Software development are meritorious
• An asset would be experience from developing Cars, Trucks or similar
Personal qualities
• Outgoing personality and good communication skills
• Strong business acumen
• Good cooperation and teamwork skills
• Analytical ability
