Job description
Teaching and research at the Mechanical Engineering Department at TEK, production economy. Examples of interesting applications can be production flow optimization or lean production. The work should reflect modern thinking in the field, both in theory and in practical implementation. The position includes teaching, course development, research and research supervision. Other tasks will be to interact with both the R & D units in the region with other institutions both nationally and internationally. It is assumed that the candidate has good communication skills, written and oral, in English. The candidate is also presumed to take an active part in the department's daily operations and monitor developments in the field.
Basis of assessment
Entry Requirements
• Phd in mechanical engineering or related scientific field, or equivalent academic qualifications.
• Completed course in teaching in higher education, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways, and demonstrated teaching skills.
Other criteria of assessment
• Proven ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to develop and manage externally funded research projects.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplinary and departmental boundaries.
• Ability to interact with the community, such as academia, industry and government organizations.
