Solution Unit DVP ("Develop Product & Aftermarket Product Portfolio") is a global unit within Group IT. The mission of the unit is to ensure that the Volvo Group 's IT solutions and IT projects within the area of DVP are managed in an optimal way.
We are now looking for a Senior IT Architect - Solution Center CAD/vPDM/VM
In this senior IT Architect (ITA) position, you will be reporting to the Solution Center Director as part of the extended management team.
Role mission & context
In this senior position, you will keep the work together from an architectural point of view for the SC. The role consists of two parts: 1) to act as the SC ITA and 2) be responsible for selected sub-portfolio within the SC. The main purpose of this role is to be part of the DVP Architecture network as well as contribute in projects and maintenance. In the SC ITA role you will functionally report to the SU DVP Head IT Architect.
Key responsibilities
• Responsibilities as the SC IT Architect
• Responsible for securing overall architectural compliance in line with delegated responsibilities within the SC in DVP SU
• Authority to take decisions in accordance with EA framework and Group IT architecture framework.
• Responsible for architecture decisions within SC
• Communicate EA decisions, changes and information within SC
• Represent SC in applicable EA related workgroups
• Lead EA Certifications within SC projects
• Be able to act as Lead Architect for critical SC Projects
• Resolve architectural issues e.g. escalated from projects & solutions.
• Secure excellent IT architectural competence for SC through the SC ITA network for the concerned solutions and project
• Drive implementation of solution roadmaps in line with the target architecture for the solution portfolios within SC
• Drive the work needed for integrations with other systems together with their representatives
• Be the main interface between the DVP ITA and the architects involved with SC deliveries, projects and maintenance
• Be part of DVP Architecture Office and lead/support relevant sub-portfolio ITA Team
Support the Solution Leaders and Application ITAs with identifying and performing cost reduction and optimization activities

Wanted Profile
In this senior position, you will create an efficient way of working with the IT Architects, Developers, and other relevant roles in SC and interfacing activities and organizations. You have proven experience in DVP area and excel in demonstrating Volvo values.
Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will in a senior position need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.
You need to be able to manage on a day to day basis in a good self-supportive way.
Required Competencies
• This is a senior position that requires extensive experience of assignments in software architecture, information and integration architecture
• Have a strong business focus and is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the business
• Ability to drive the IT Architecture skill in SC
• Good communication & presentation skills are a requirement
• Good business understanding in the DVP process and business models
• Good Solution knowledge for relevant solutions
• Have the ability to, in an inspiring way, communicate vision, strategy and objectives
