Job Description
We are looking for a (Senior) Grid Study Engineer to work within our Business Area Wind, Offshore, Engineering. The Engineering department is the technical know-how centre within Business Area Wind, setting the standards and guidelines as well as being embedded within our projects, both through the development and implementation phase as well as in operations.
Working within the Power & Grid Studies Team in Engineering, the (Senior) Grid Study Engineer shall provide expertise on several types of electrical/power studies for Offshore & Onshore wind projects.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Power & Grid Studies team you will work in the following areas to support the design and grid compliance of wind projects:
Overall target is to provide the electrical studies for the wind projects and to develop the way of working in the team
Steady state analysis including load flow- and short circuit calculations
Harmonics analysis including harmonic stability and resonance analysis
Time domain studies including transient stability and insulation coordination
Grid compliance testing and model validation
Technical support to development, procurement and operation team
Involvement in corporation with R&D and university project, by technical guide and support
Support for technical evaluation of the electrical equipment within the wind projects
Review & comment on electrical studies from suppliers
Participate in negotiation with TSO's and suppliers
Documentation of the work performed
Qualifications
You are experienced in performing studies for power systems and/or wind project connections and you feel comfortable in guiding others as well.
You have the following or similar qualifications:
• B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and/or PSCAD
• Experience in using MATLAB and Python
• Good English skills- both written and spoken
• Good documentation and reporting skills
