Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is looking for a Design Engineer. This position will be appointed within Engine Design and Wiring, Powertrain Engineering, located in Gothenburg. Engine Design and Wiring group belongs to Base Engine which is a department of specialists within engine components development. We are responsible for the design, development and industrialization of engine components from Advanced Engineering to product maintenance for Heavy Duty Powertrain.
The Engine Design team supports with 2D and 3D technical documentation, design expertise, packaging studies and concept proposals for the hardware teams in GTT Powertrain Engineering. Also we take active part in preparation of future Engine concepts and integration.
3D-models have a central role within product development. CAD enhances visualization and communication, reduce errors with interference and collision checking and accelerate development cycles with virtual testing, analysis and optimization, etc.
We are looking for a driven and skilled design engineer within 3D modeling. You will be responsible for securing a high level on component design and documentation quality.
Main tasks:
Design 3D-geometry in CREO parametric, perform CREO simulate studies and tolerance studies, make drawings and CAD modules according to the Company standard. Manage part numbers, structure and release administration in PDM system. Support product- and component owners in virtual development of products.

Qualifications:
Technical education (KY/YH) in design/CAD or higher
Minimum 5-10 years of experience of mechanical design of casted/forged, metallic parts, casted plastic, pipes, brackets etc.
Proven advanced Creo CAD-design experience over the last 3 years
Experience of concept development to industrialization of complex part, components and packing studies.
Advanced structure part creation and modeling with respect to tooling
Advanced knowledge of part- and complete system drawing creation
Driveline knowledge is preferable
Good knowledge in written and spoken English
