Volvo Cars Purchasing is all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for people who buy and drive a Volvo. We are ultimately responsible for the selection of all Volvo Cars' suppliers and have a responsibility for the procurement of all production material and services to Volvo Cars. The supply of materials and services to the right quality, in the right quantity and on time, is essential to ensure smooth running of the company operations and to match our customer's expectations.

Do you want to work with market leading suppliers in a complex area, with components having a big impact on the final product? Seats and Surface material team is now looking for a Senior Buyer. Seats and Surface material is a part of interior purchasing with responsibility for all components related to the Seats and Surface materials. You will be part of a dynamic team of buyers supporting each other to reach our business objectives.
In this broad and interesting role, you are responsible to
Lead/contribute and carry out strategies within the global category team and stimulate the business knowledge within the team (Facilitate best practices sharing, cost breakdowns, cost drivers, spend analysis, etc.)
Lead global negotiations and Build strategic relationships with selected suppliers in order to maximize the value derived from relationships
You will also be responsible for running business and yearly commercial negotiations together with the Category team. To benchmark and market test the systems, as well as securing the project in a day-to-day business, is also one of your main responsibilities. Travelling to a certain extent is part of the job.
You will Set forecast for commercial result, perform year on year commercial negotiations
and conduct sourcing activities according to VPDS.
The tasks will be performed in cooperation with a team of colleagues from Purchasing, Development, and Product Strategy.

You have been working within Purchasing, and the daily negotiation are also one of your strongest area.
You are a natural leader and have the ability to see the whole picture of a business case, upplier relation are important where your communication skills is a great ability.
You have a University Bachelor degree or equivalent experience, Technical or Economical.
