hela Sverige Valueone is looking for a Senior Buyer Logistics for a longer consultant assignment at a manufacturing company in Gothenburg. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible.
The role
As Senior Buyer Logistics you will be part of a purchasing team that covers purchasing of inbound transportation from part suppliers to production plants by Road, Air, Ocean & Rail as well as other services. In this particular role you will be responsible for purchasing of road transportation. You will work in close cooperation with colleagues, internal stakeholders and external suppliers and report to Sr. Purchasing Manager of Inbound Logistics.
Main tasks:
Maximize the total value of ownership for your assigned commodity.
Support the development of sourcing strategy and plan for your assigned commodity.
Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders.
Lead/support cross-functional sourcing projects including activities of preparation, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection and contract signing.
Work towards individual and team targets and perform administrative tasks related to the job.
Experience and competencies
The person we are looking for must have a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience from a relevant purchasing role, including the above listed sourcing activities. Experience from logistics is needed and knowledge from project management or the automotive industry is meritorious. You must be fluent in English, written and spoken.
Furthermore, you need to have a business mind-set, be target oriented, performance driven and ready to take commercial responsibility for your assigned commodity. Your curious and analytical intellect enables you to challenge the existing setup and you enjoy working co-operatively in teams as well as independently.
