For the Supply Chain Procurement department in Nynäshamn, we are currently recruiting a Senior Buyer with main responsibility for Procurement towards projects within Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibility will be to operate cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation of sourcing decisions. Main duties will include:
• Liaise with internal customers early in the process to ensure implementation of strategic projects.
• Support work with existing & new contracts and client relations across functions.
• Purchase products and services in congruence with corporate strategies .
• Conduct commercial reviews.
• Evaluate appropriate suppliers of materials and services.
• Evaluate competitive bids.
• Administer & revise procurement practices in accordance with related laws & regulations.
• Ongoing promote cost reduction.
• Support procurement risk management & maintain market awareness.
You will report to Procurement Site Manager, Supply Chain
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate has ideally an academic degree in Science and/or Engineering, preferably with a post-graduate specialisation in Procurement Management. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience within procurement and at least two years within the field of Entrepreneurial Procurement/Engineering, ideally from process industry. You have a proven track record of previous procurement projects and you possess a well developed understanding for long term procurement processes. You must be fluent in Swedish and English and you are a proficient user of MS Office and Lotus Notes. Experience from ERP-systems and Procurement modules such as Oracle, JDE, Ariba etc. is an advantage.
