Who are we?
The department Driving Dynamics and Noise & Vibration Centre has the responsibility to ensure that all dynamic attributes like Steering, Handling, Ride, Braking, Driver Assistance, Performance, Drivability, Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) and Sound Quality are supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. The department is an attribute centre within Volvo Car's Product & Quality division.

The Vehicle NVH Integration group have the responsibility for leading and supporting the attribute work within Road noise, Wind noise, Operational Sound Quality, Audio & ANC performance and Interactive Sound Quality. The team work from a complete vehicle perspective in research, advanced engineering projects and vehicle programs. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing with competence, test analysis and guidelines to improve all attributes in Volvo Cars products.

We are about 20 enthusiastic colleagues in the group who is passionate about sound and driven to create the best driving experience possible!

About the position
We are looking to strengthen our team with a Senior analysis engineer - Road noise. As a senior analysis engineer within road noise you will be responsible for developing our test methods and perform advanced physical analyses and verifications of actual noise and vibrations. You will have many internal interfaces of collaboration and develop a broad network. To fulfil your responsibilities you will also get to test our vehicles in different customer related driving conditions.

Main responsibilities
* Responsible for Road noise attribute within Volvo's car project
* Responsible for target setting as well as analysis and verification planning within the area
* Responsible for method development and advanced projects.
* Performing advanced analyses and supporting our projects
* Test vehicles in different customer related driving conditions to evaluate NVH
* Test subsystems according to system requirements
* Report results to car program and propose improvements to the design solutions

Who are you?

Required:
* M Sc within related engineering areas, preferably with a specialisation in acoustics, or equivalent work experience
* 3-5 years' experience of working with NVH
* Drivers licence (B-level)

To be successful in this role you have an analytical capability and are result oriented. You are comfortable with cooperating and communicate with people on different levels in the organization and you have a customer focus and flexible mind set.
