Job description
Export & Trade Finance is a department within Financial Services, we manage trade, export and project finance solutions and act as a financial support and advisor to the Scania Group. Today the department consists of 7 persons covering and supporting Scania 's business globally.
One of our colleagues is moving on and needs to be replaced by a person with a similar profile. We are looking for a person with extensive experience in the area of export and project finance. If you have experience from BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) projects it will be considered as favourable.
Key responsibilities and activities will be:
• Support the market organisation in finding third party financing for the specific transaction/project, involving risk cover providers such as commercial banks, multilateral banks, ECA 's and other risk insurers. This will be your main task
• To some extent involvement in payment instruments, EKN and internal reporting ( i.e. Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Bills of Exchange etc )
• To some extent provide payment terms and advice on risk mitigation
• Political and commercial risk assessment
Job requirements
We are looking for a person with extensive experience in the field of export and project finance. Much of the work will be related to long term financing structures where you need to understand how to tailor made an export or project finance structure. We are mainly involved in infrastructure projects adding complexity as many parties are involved. Experience from bus operating companies or equivalent will be considered as favourable.
You should be self-motivated and find it easy to work cross functional. You will be involved both in specific projects and day to day tasks, therefore it is important to be flexible and find it easy to shift focus. A large part of the daily communication will be in English, therefore you need to be fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages are an advantage.
You will need to travel abroad several times per year. Much of your daily contact will be cross functional within Scania as well as with Scania external counterparties. Social skills and multi-cultural understanding are important to better interact in the different work constellations. You need to have the ability to support sales and at the same time act as a control function.
