GVA is growing rapidly and as a result we are now seeking a tecnically interested, ambitious and team oriented Hydrodynamics Analysis Engineer.
The Ideal Candidate should not only have a strong desire to work for GVA and within the offshore industry but also possess the following skills and competencies:
M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture (preferable), Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
Knowledge in the hydrodynamic area is highly regarded.
Knowledge in the mooring area is highly regarded.
Knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies, practical experience is considered an advantage.
Knowledge of the DNV software suite SESAM is an advantage.
Understanding of the principles of approval by Classification Societies is highly regarded.
Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in English are required.
Communicate effectively with all levels and disciplines and build and maintain positive relationships.
Promote collective achievement and teamwork.
Demonstrate the ability to analyze basic engineering issues and effectively solve problems.
