Connected car is one of the main focus areas at Volvo Cars and aim at delivering the next generation of connected vehicles and services. Volvo Cars Connected Car IT contains concept, development, and establishment of new services and maintenance of existing services. It has a high level of complexity including coordination with other IT services and business functions. It also contains the uniqueness of Volvo Cars Product Development delivery where IT is part of the solution.
At the center of our current delivery is the Sensus Cloud, which acts as an interface between the car and its surrounding IT structures. The Connected Car IT Security Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining the computer and network security infrastructure for Connected Car IT. The position requires developing a comprehensive picture of the organization's technology and information needs, which can then be used to design, implement and test security structures designed to protect those systems.
The resource we are looking for will work within the Connected Car IT concept team with specific focus towards IT security. A technical oriented, experienced person is required. The candidate should have a broad competence within the area of IT security.
Main responsibilities
* Contribute to the security strategy for Volvo Cars Consumer IT Services
* Liaison with R&D, Customer Service and others for security solutions covering the connected customer
* Serve as a department internal information security consultant covering standards, complex issues and best practices
* Coordinating with Group IT Security for the Connected Car Security Competence Centre
* Perform IT security reviews and assessments of Connected Car solutions
Required qualifications
* Master 's degree within engineering, IT or similar
* More than 5 years of experience within the IT security area
* Fluent in English
Personal qualities
* Good communication skills; the ability to share ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner to both technical specialists and people without technical knowledge
* Strong collaboration skills
* Structured and analytical way of taking on tasks and performing on a daily basis in a result oriented way
