AFRY is expanding its Grid Integration business within the T&D Segment in Sweden and is looking for a Sales & Operations Manager to drive growth and delivery in one of the most important segments of the energy transition. In this key role, you will work closely with senior leadership to develop the business, build strategic customer relationships, and lead complex solution-oriented projects that support the modernization of Sweden's power grid.
You will be part of a highly experienced team of specialists in substations, distribution networks, and advanced power system technologies like FACTS, HVDC, BESS and RES Integration, working together to deliver impactful solutions for utilities and industry.

About the Role
You will hold a combined commercial and operational responsibility, driving both business development and project delivery. The role involves building and developing the sales pipeline while overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure high quality delivery and strong financial performance. A key focus is solution-based sales, where AFRY combines advisory, engineering, and project capabilities to help customers solve complex grid challenges.
You collaborate closely with technical experts across several key areas of power system development, including substations, distribution networks, power system studies, protection and control, BESS, FACTS and HVDC technologies, as well as grid modernization initiatives. Together, these capabilities enable AFRY to deliver integrated and future-ready solutions that support the ongoing transformation of the power grid.
The role reports to the Country Manager for the segment in Sweden (Director & Head of T&D Sweden Grid Integration, Substation and Distribution).
Key Responsibilities
You will play a central role in driving the growth and performance of AFRY's Grid Integration business in Sweden, combining commercial leadership with operational oversight. This includes building strong relationships with customers such as TSOs, DSOs, utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial companies, leading solution-based sales where AFRY's advisory, engineering, and project delivery capabilities create real value for clients.
At the same time, you will oversee an active portfolio of projects, working closely with AFRY's technical experts to ensure strong and successful delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Building and managing a strong sales pipeline and leading major bids and capture strategies
Developing long-term relationships with key customers in the power sector
Overseeing a portfolio of projects and ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and financial targets
Monitoring performance across key performance metrics
Contributing to the continued development of AFRY's Grid Integration strategy and offerings
Collaborate with AFRY T&D and other segments across the world on Grid Integration projects and opportunities.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a leader who combines commercial drive with operational understanding of complex technical deliveries.
Key qualifications include:
Experience within Transmission & Distribution / Grid Integration, such as electrification projects, RES integration to substations and distribution networks, FACTS, HVDC, BESS and advanced power system studies. International experience is highly merited
Experience with solution-based sales and complex customer engagements
Strong commercial mindset with experience in client dialogue, contracting, pricing, and negotiations
Experience managing both sales pipelines and project portfolios
Financial understanding of consultancy business key performance indicators
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Fluency in English (Swedish is an advantage)

Practical Information and application
Location: Flexible across Sweden with preference for Stockholm, Västerås, Uppsala, Gothenburg, or Malmö. Hybrid work is possible, with primary location in Sweden.
