Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Digital Driver Workplace is the next generation of combined instrument clusters and infotainment systems. The system has a central role in the vehicle and is tasked with managing driver interaction, displaying all relevant information from the vehicle, as well as providing SW services such as media and navigation. Scania is now developing the next generation of systems to meet both new legal requirements and the rapid development in the area.

For this, we are now looking to strengthen the team with one more safety manager that can help us to drive functional safety activities and see that we comply with ISO 26262 requirements. You will actively participate in product development, quality, and reliability activities to ensure that automotive safety standards are achieved and maintained for both current and future products.



Your role

Drive the functional safety approach across organizational boundaries and with management. Direct engineers and external stakeholders engaged in project work. Produce, either directly or indirectly, all the necessary work products, including but not limited to:

• Safety concepts and plans
• Support in the development of HARA's
• FMEA
• Conducting safety reviews
• Safety requirements
• Safety verification and validation activities



Your profile

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working to ISO 26262. With this, you have gained knowledge and industry experience with safety concepts, hazard analysis and risk assessment, and FMEA for automotive embedded hardware and software, at both system and sub-system levels.

You have a degree in engineering from a university or equal work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge in Swedish is not mandatory, but meritorious.

We support a hybrid workplace, but the expectations are for you to be present in the office for at least 50% of your working week. But you are of course welcome to be at the office every day.
