What you will be part of
For more than a year, you will participate in an international programme that is uniquely designed to boost your career as well as to provide you with the right toolbox to develop as a leader. During the programme, you will get the opportunity to create an overall understanding of the company, to build a broad contact network and to engage in challenging tasks that will prepare you for an exciting future together with us.
You will have a steep learning curve that will prepare you for a position in our project management team. As a project manager, you will lead people, business and change. In this position you will be managing the project budget, technical scope, risks and relations. Together with the project steering group, you will be responsible for decision-making, delivering on time, profitability and encouraging a cooperative and inclusive Culture. During the graduate programme you will be travelling to other Saab sites both in Sweden and abroad.
You will become part of the Project Management Office at the Combat Systems division. The project management team consists of around 20 people working in both internal and customer projects. We are continously developing our ways of working towards a more agile organisation. We believe an open mindset, constant learning and collaborative teams creates a culture that fosters innovation. You will be part of a team consisting of experienced project managers committed to delivering excellent result as well as to managing customer relations. Our customers mainly consist of Naval Forces and shipyards around the world.
As we are looking for future leaders, you need to have a genuine interest in people. You understand that communcation, collaboration and curiosity are essential success factors for a business to grow and for people to thrive at their workplace. You are flexible, humble and spread positive energy. You have an overall business understanding, possess a strategic thinking and deliver excellent results. Your motivation, drive and commitment help you, and people around you, to perform on a daily basis.
To be a successful graduate, you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree within Engineering. You have recently graduated or approximately two years of work experience. We believe that you have a broad understanding of project management and system development rather than a deep technical knowledge.
As Saab is a global company, you need to be fluent in written and spoken English. International experience will be to your advantage. This position requires an approved security clearance by responsible authorities since you will work with and take part of classfied information.
