SKF Group MDC (Manufacturing Development Centre), belonging of 50 employees of various nationalities, has a responsibility for developing new manufacturing processes and equipment for ultimate use in SKF factories distributed worldwide. Accordingly MDC endeavors to keep informed on all new technology developments and how they can be applied to improve production efficiency, quality and performance of SKF products.
MDC is formed of 4 departments; Forming, Heat treatment, Machining and ICT & Systems. To further on strengthen ICT & Systems.
We are now looking for a
Robot specialist
As robot specialist you will be a key person when it comes to robot and automation knowledge. You will be responsible for monitoring the trends on the market regarding robotics and related systems. You will be part of development projects aiming to automatize SKF production with new manufacturing concepts. In the projects you will contribute with expert robot knowledge in the concepts development, robot programing, simulation and start-up of new robot systems.
Job responsibilities:
• Drive Robot development for manufacturing
• Program and integrate robot systems
• Perform robot simulations in relevant software
• To be able to develop and visualize new automation concepts in cooperation with different SKF specialists
• To be able to define future demands on robot system and cooperate with different robot suppliers
Job Requirements :
• Minimum 10 years of experience of robot system
• In depth understanding of the general demands for a high volume production machine
• Good knowledge in robot simulation tool such as Robot studio or similar
• Knowledge in NC and PLC system is an advantage
• Good understanding of communication systems related to automated production systems
Personal profile:
• MSc in automation/mechatronics engineering or equivalent
• Broad technical understanding, interest and hands on mechanical skills
• Innovative with a high level of own drive and commitment
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
• Experience from working with customer relations is an advantage
• Good relationships skills
• Willing and able to travel
