We are now recruiting an experienced and motivated Research Fellow with a background in global governance and experience of project management to join our team working on climate change in a complex, interconnected world.Join our international non-profit research organization and help create a sustainable, prosperous future for all! The Stockholm Environment Institute is a dynamic, expanding workplace that employs around 90 people from 28 different nationalities in an activity-based office in central Stockholm (Garnisonen), and with an additional 140 employees in centres around the world.The roleThe Research Fellow will play a key role in our emerging practice area around transnational climate risk (TCR), an emerging flagship topic in SEI's research and engagement work that explores how climate change impacts transcend administrative borders.Key duties and responsibilitiesProvide overall project management, in line with SEI's project manual and processesDevelop SEI's portfolio of research and engagement work on TCR, including fundraising, network building, internal capacity and team building, knowledge management and input to external communicationsContribute to conceptual and methodological development of research on TCR:Coordinate SEI's policy engagement on this topic, for example at the UNFCCC and beyondManage a major new European Horizon 2020 project that will research and make recommendations to European actors on the governance of global cross-border climate risksBring skills and experience to SEI's wider team working on related fields, such as global climate change governance, the geopolitics of environmental change and international relations in the context of sustainable development.Who you areWe are looking for a person with a demonstrable interest in the topic of global interconnections, systemic risk, climate change and the governance of complexity.
