The Mab Applications section belongs to the Bioprocess Media Department of the GE Healthcare R&D organization. The mission of the Mab Applications section is to support the department with expertise and technologies regarding downstream processing of antibodies and related molecules, and also regarding analytical methods relevant to antibodies and key impurities.
Essential Responsibilities
The work in the department is very application focused, performed in close connection with key customers. It includes new product development as well as work on existing products, often involving complete purification processes. The position described here will be strongly involved in customer collaborations and in generation data on prototypes and newly launched products for external presentatons and publications.
Protein analysis and characterization. This includes planning, performing, analyzing and reporting the studies. Reporting includes technical reports and presentations at internal and/or external meetings. Responsible for method development on Gyrolab and Biacore as well as Elisa and electrophoresis when requested by projects. Responsible for maintaindence of Biacore instruments.
This is a temporary position starting 2016-10-01 until 2017-08-01.

Qualifications/Requirements
BSc or Engineering degree in biochemistry or analytical chemistry.
Solid experience from laboratory work in the area of protein analysis, preferentially antibody based techniques as well as chromatographic analysis.
Experience from laboratory work in the areas of protein purification.
A flexible, accurate and structured way of working.
English and Swedish as working languages, both spoken and in writing.
