hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Spatial Transcriptomics AB i Stockholm As the Research Associate you will join our Molecular Biology team in Sweden, Stockholm.
In this role you will work with a broad range of histopathological techniques and you will be able to learn new techniques and skills within histology and molecular biology. You will work with tissues and sample manipulation.
You will interact with scientists from all across the company, and will generate, process, characterize, and distribute high-quality biological samples for both internal and external processing on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and provide slides containing tissue sections to multiple product development teams, which includes responsibility for adhering to a tight schedule while maintaining exceptional quality.
Assist in the development and optimization of sample preparation procedures/protocols for spatial resolved genomic assays.
Advise and assist R&D scientists with histology experiments and methods.
Assist in training other R&D scientists, as required.
Maintain cooperative and professional attitude when interacting with others internally and externally.
Required Skills and Background
You have an education background (BS/MS) in one or more of the following disciplines; Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Neurobiology, Cancer Biology, or similar. And apply your skills and knowledge of cell biology and histology to optimize and evaluate new methods for sample preparation.
You are familiar with general histology techniques such as tissue processing, tissue embedding, tissue sectioning, slide preparation, and performing a variety of staining techniques, including immunohistochemical procedures, for microscopic evaluation. Proficiency in brightfield/fluorescence imaging and image analysis are also desirable.
In addition to technical qualifications, you will be highly goal-oriented, inquisitive, organized, independent, collaborative, willing to learn new techniques and concepts, and be able to thrive in an atmosphere of shifting demands and priorities.
Experience with provisioning or processing animal models and human clinical samples (fresh frozen and FFPE).
Experience with tissue sectioning: cryostat, microtome, or similar.
Experience with immunostaining (IHC, IF), in situ hybridization (ISH), and histology.
Experience with standard cell culture techniques.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong recordkeeping skills.

Desired Skills and Background
Familiarity with various tissue types and pathological samples.
Familiarity with neurobiology and/or cancer biology.
Experience with imaging and image processing.
Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, DNA sequencing, or similar.
