Do you want to contribute to better health for all?
You will have the opportunity to work within the Global and Sexual Health (GloSH) research group at the department of Global Public Health, KI.

GloSH research group is dedicated to increasing awareness on global health development. Our research focus is on sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV, preventing behaviours, emerging infections, non-communicable diseases, migrant health, health economics and eHealth. The group consists of interdisciplinary researchers with extensive experience of study design and project implementation in weak health system.

Your mission
The applicant will support research implementation tasks for the project "Improving Sexual and Mental Health among Young Male Migrants in Stockholm ". The tasks will involve the following (but are not restricted to):

- Conducting qualitative in-depth interviews with migrant Syrian young men living in Sweden.
- Transcribing qualitative in-depth interviews with migrant Syrian young men in Arabic.
- Analysing qualitative data (in-depth interviews in Arabic).
- Write and submit a manuscript for a peer-reviewed journal.
- Other administrative tasks related to the project.

Your profile
- The applicant must be able to communicate fluently, both orally and in writing, in Arabic and in English. This competency will be tested.
- The applicant should have a master in Public Health, Global Health or in other related fields.
- The applicant must have experience collecting qualitative data with young migrant men.
- The applicant must have experience analysing qualitative data using ATLAS Ti software.
- The applicant must have the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary research group, but also to work independently to assure that the project products are delivered in time.
- The applicant must interface well with other staff, collaborators and partners working with the project.
- Previous knowledge on gender, sexual health and masculinities is desirable.
