Position Description
You will be part of an engaged and kind team in an international and multicultural environment and within a department developing our future IT solutions in the Virtual products lifecycle management area.

Great! Volvo Group is now searching for an Release Train Engineer within the virtual lifecycle management domain.
Virtual Lifecycle Management solutions covers CAD, Product lifecycle management (PLM), Augmented and Virtual reality applications. The solutions are a key enabler to achieve engineering efficiency, virtual trust, and the digital twin capabilities across the Volvo Group.

Volvo is driving several exciting transformation projects and initiatives to digitalize our business processes and leverage the value of data and become a fully data-driven company. We are Virtual Lifecycle Management Solution Centre working to increase efficiency through our current set of digital and IT solutions.
Our existing IT solutions comprises of a mix of varied technologies like Microsoft, Java, and Commercial Off the shelf (COTS) IT solutions and SaaS solutions from CAD and PLM vendors. We find ourselves on the cusp of a transformation with heavy investments to transform and modernize our overall IT architecture.
We are supporting the Volvo Group's Digital ambitions to become a fully agile, data-driven company, and we are building the foundations for the virtual trust, supported by improved use of digital twins, i.e the digital data representing a physical object as well as an improved digital thread, the integrated view of physical products' digital data through it's lifecycle.
Role Description Your Mission:
We look for a Release Train Engineer in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) area
We are now looking for a Release Train Engineer with passion for developing and delivering the IT solutions to meet the needs in the Virtual Product area of the business going forward.
Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.
Role mission & context
You as Release Train Engineer will be part of an experienced team of Delivery Managers, Product managers, Product Owners and Architects.
You will be part of managing Group Trucks VLM solution. We have IT representation in Japan, Bangalore, Lyon, Göteborg and Greensboro.
We have started a big digitalization journey within Volvo to get ready for new challenges in the industry for example new ways of delivering end to end value and new propulsion technologies. To handle this, we believe in a scaled agile approach to deliver this new platform and capabilities for Volvo in the Virtual Product management area.
Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs) Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events Facilitate the PI planning event Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives (the RTE) and publish them for visibility and transparency.
Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities.
Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
Help manage risks and dependencies.
Escalate and track impediments.
Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering.
Facilitate System Demos Drive relentless improvement.
Wanted Profile
As a Release Train Engineer you will be part of an environment that embrace change and trust. You have proven experience in Product Development and or Product Lifecycle Management and are driven to improve the day-to-day experience for our PLM tool users.
You are used to communicate with different stakeholders in different levels in an organization since the delivery is touching the day-to-day operation on many levels.
Engineering Mechanical engineering or similar is a merit
Experience of agile way of working is a strength.
Fluent in English
