We need to be a fast moving organisation that delivers quality throughout the development process. At the very heart of this is the Release and Configuration Management team since they are responsible for releasing our code and new products into production. We believe in agile methodologies and believe that to be able to build large scale, world class systems we need to have smooth processes and automate as much as possible. The team, which today consists of a Release Manager and Configuration Manager, is in the midst of everything and they love it.

Your scope will be broad and covers everything from Release and Configuration Management to coordinating and helping systems engineers and developers. As a release engineer you are the glue in the organisation and your focus will be to help your fellow colleagues with releasing their software and finding better and more proactive ways of working.

The release engineer is the person that everyone will talk to. You are the person that connects Operations, QA and Development and you work in a dynamic and fast moving environment. Your mission is to develop the release process to scale, to be efficient and transparent, and to be aligned with Klarna?s high quality standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer science or similar degree with focus on programming
• Two years of experience of software development
• People person that brings energy to the people around you
• Great skills in GIT (revision control system)
• Broad skills in automation and scripting (Perl, Bash, Python etc)
• Great coordination skills and a deep caring of quality

Preferred skills:

• Broad skills in programming (programming languages less relevant)
• Experience of Continuous Integration CI or Continuous Delivery CD
• Experience from software testing
