In Ethylene Amines we produce and market ethanol- and ethylene amines which are building blocks for the manufacturing of cleaners, polymers, paints, paper chemicals, chelates and pharmaceuticals. We are one of the leaders in the ethylene amines industry and our ability to compete is to a high extent based on technology leadership. In Stenungsund we have one of the world's largest and most modern production sites of its kind, which makes us a reliable supplier to our customers.
We are now looking for an RD&I Chemist to our RD&I laboratory team of 5 people as a temporary replacement until the end of 2018. The team consists of highly motivated lab technicians and chemists who work on process and product development including scale-up trials, catalyst testing for the current production process and support other functions in the business with chemical know-how.
Main responsibilities:
• Perform experiments and assist in evaluating and reporting experimental results.
• Contribute with ideas to projects and work requests.
• Set-up, maintain and upgrade the equipment and methods used by the RD&I Laboratory.
• Cooperate with contract research organizations (both internal and external).
• Participate in HSE work.
• Provide support to e.g. Marketing & Sales, Quality Technical Service, Production, and Business development.
• M.Sc. in chemistry or equivalent education.
• Experience in preparatory laboratory techniques.
• Experience in modern analysis methods e.g. LC, GC/GC-MS, NMR and wet chemical analysis.
• Analytical and pragmatic.
