Raw Material Controller
Volvo Cars Purchasing is now looking for a driven and analytical person to fill the position as Raw Material Controller. It is a challenging role involving execution of complicated analysis as well as providing high level presentations to senior management. The Raw Material Controller plays a crucial role in understanding the continuous price changes in raw materials on the global market and its impact on the business of Volvo Car Corporation.
The Raw Material Controller will work in Purchasing Finance which is responsible for reporting actual-, forecast- and budget data and business plans on purchasing cost performance for direct material. The Purchasing Finance unit is a cheerful mix of people which offers a good team spirit in a fast changing and multinational environment.
Job profile:
• Coordinate the Purchasing Director's meeting, Raw Material.
• Record, analyse and present financial information related to raw material activities within the Purchasing function.
• Investigate deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Collect, process, analyse and provide information for forecast, budget and business plan.
• Work as the Purchasing Controllers' Office interface to the Purchasing operation providing support and recommendations.
• Respond to a range of inquiries regarding raw material issues and resolve problems.
• Regular and ad hoc presentations for Volvo Cars' upper management and various teams.
• Drive, develop and maintain the Raw Material Target allocation and Raw material spending process.
Your profile:
• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience of tasks within controlling.
• In-depth knowledge regarding financial reporting and information requirements to management.
• Strong skills in data handling and Microsoft Office, especially regarding complicated analysis in Excel.
• Excellent communications skills and fluent in English.
• Self starting with an ability to prioritize and to take personal responsibility to complete delegated tasks and projects in a systematic way.
• Good social skills and an ability to work in close teams to solve finance related issues.
• A flexible mindset and a strong motivation to develop oneself and the position.
