hela Sverige At Seco Tools and the R&D Materials and Technology Department, we're now looking for an R&D Manager to lead our method developments within compaction and additive manufacturing. Take the opportunity to work with a dedicated and skilled crew in a progressive business in close collaboration with product development and manufacturing!
About the job
In this position, you oversee the R&D budget and monitor the effectiveness of R&D activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and maintain professional standards. You develop and ensure technical expertise in the organization, evaluate new technologies and advise the organization on appropriate R&D investments. You lead, direct, evaluate, and develop professional research staff to ensure the quality, validity, and credibility of the organization's research activities and make sure that all projects follow the common project model.
Being the manager for Method Developments, you take the initiative in securing the strategies, planning, and performance within the associated technology areas. Naturally, strong collaborations with other functions within and outside R&D are crucial, and you're the one who ensures to build and uphold the collaborative ties. You report to the Director for Materials and Technology Development at Seco Tools.
You're based with the team in Fagersta, though we offer the opportunity to work remotely when suitable. Some travel might occur in your job.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with at least a master's degree in a relevant education field. You're a leader who's enthusiastic and inspires us to accomplish great things. If your supportive leadership style comes from working as a manager, project manager or team lead doesn't really make a difference, but you do need to have several years of experience from technology development in relevant areas. As we're based in Sweden while acting on the international stage, you need good communication skills in Swedish and English.
We see a team-oriented mentor with a genuine interest in inclusive guidance/coaching and interaction - someone who easily collaborates and builds relations based on trust and straightforward communication. You enjoy working with versatile groups of people with different strengths and skills and have the ability to understand and grasp the bigger picture. Besides that, we truly value your profound interest in materials development as well as your pragmatic and result oriented mindset. This combined with your strategic and organized way of working is your key to success in this role!
