For a temporary assignment during 2016 we are seeking a Quality Control chemist to join our team based at the Akademiska Hospital, Uppsala. The Imanet production team consists at the moment of three radiochemists who have the responsibility for production and quality control of radioactive tracers for use in PET investigations.
Essential Responsibilities:
The main functions of this role include:
completion of quality control processes during production process
maintenance and servicing of analytical instruments according to planned periods as well as on a needs basis
monitoring of material requirements including ordering of chemicals and materials used in the production- and QC-processes
working with and development of GMP documentation
support to the production manager in relation to environment, health and safety (EHS), safety in relation to working with radioactive substances, regulatory requirements and GMP/Quality demands.
Please note this position includes requirement for shift work. Normally two night shifts per week (work hours roughly about 02.00-08.00).
Qualifications/Requirements:
Fluent in both English and Swedish, both written and spoken
Ability to work within tight deadlines and within strict controls
High level of responsibility and attention to safety
Ability to work in a structured, organized and well planned manner
High level of GMP-experience.
BS or MS degree in a Chemistry, Biology or related field
Significant years of GMP QC experience, in the pharmaceutical industry
High level of experience with HPLC, GC.
Prepare reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures.
Documents testing, observations, deviations, OOS investigation and results clearly and completely.
Read and understand internal SOPs and analytical procedures (compendial and in-house).
Desired Characteristics:
Bachelors Degrees within relevant scientific area or equivalent technical certification / experience
Some years of chemical laboratory experience in an academic of industrial setting
Experience in PET chemistry
Previously worked night shifts
Good communication skills
Ability to work both on your own and in a team
