With a central role in the Nordic organization it is your ability to independent lead projects and change management that are crucial. A key challenge is to define and establish optimum category strategies a based on dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
As a Purchasing Specialist you are driving your own work towards company goals and you are responsible for a number of categories. You will have a key function and support all departments related to procurement tasks.
The role includes:
• Category Management: be responsible for a number of categories and secure saving targets within your categories.
• Strategy & Tenders: develop innovative and creative category strategies for sourcing, together with business departments decide the optimum sourcing strategy, tender agreed scope and cooperate with the best suppliers,
• Supplier & Contract Management: Secure agreed deliveries and risk mitigation, renegotiate the current agreements to improve processes and outcomes.
• Networking and benchmarking: maintain good relationships with suppliers, i stakeholders and employees. Perform continuous benchmarking to find new innovative solutions for sourcing.
• Policies & Guidelines: secure BMW 's purchasing guidelines and policies, educate users and secure compliance in the various processes.
You are part of a team of three Purchasing Specialist buyers and a financial Finance Coordinator. Some travelling, mainly to other Nordic countries are expected.
Education & Experience
You have a university degree or equivalent and some years of experience of procurement at nternational companies where you have created a good understanding of category and supplier management. You have experience of price negotiations and Project leader experience is an advance. The same applies to work with other Nordic countries. You are driven as a person, have a strong interest in our business, leading projects and change management. You also have strong negotiation skills and value asolid purchasing processes. Our project based work method appeals to you. Good excel and PowerPoint knowledge is a requirement and knowledge of SAP Purchasing Module is a plus. Business English is required, both in speech and writing.
Offer
You will be part of an Nordic Purchasing team with global business net work within BMW Group. The position is a I,5 years replacement during maternity leave , starting in October/November 2017. It is possible that the assignment may be prolonged. The position is based in Stockholm and you will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. You will be employed by Jurek and stationed at BMW.
