Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? Alstom Sweden is looking for an ambitious and structured Project and Cost Controller in the Finance Team based in Stockholm.
This position will provide a transverse vision of the Finance function within the company. The candidate will be working as responsible project controller for the Parts Business in Sweden and also being part of the reporting team and support with activities for the site in Stockholm.
Main tasks and responsibilities
• In coordination with Project Manager, prepare periodic Project reviews with all relevant financial analysis
• Control and optimize Project results through close involvement with Project Manager
• Ensure accuracy of forecasts for revenues / costs and cash
• Assure Customer invoicing is completed as soon as possible and play an active role in securing payment from Customer in due time
• Provide all Project finance reporting
• Participate in Project Management team meetings, risk sessions, and all decision-making concerning Project financial or contractual aspects
• Participate in group accounting for monthly and year-end closing together with compile annual reports according to GAAP/IFRS
• Be part of the Budget and forecast processes
• Participate in reconciliation of accounts and ensure that accounting is according to internal and external guidelines
• Active participation in ensuring qualitative and quantitative control of cost centers
• Support the organization with cost issues and ad hoc-analysis
Skills and education
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance or accounting required
• Experience of 2 to 5 years in similar position
• Working knowledge in MS Excel required
• Working knowledge of SAP desired
• Experience of IFRS reporting and local GAAP
• Result-oriented team player with a commercial understanding and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (written and spoken) with people at different levels
As a person you are able to work under pressure and work effectively and as a member of a team to co-ordinate and ensure consistency of reporting. In this role you need to organize and prioritize in order to be effective. You should have the ability to influence and instore confidence in those inside and outside of the finance department.
